Erasmus – Civis

ERASMUS+

The Department of Ports Management and Shipping, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, participates in the ERASMUS+ program and encourages mobility among eligible students, academics, and researchers in the European Universities. A faculty member, appointed by the Department Assembly, is responsible for the administrative and functional aspects of the program, informs on the procedures, documentation, and eligibility, and supports guiding interested students to their participation in the ERASMUS+ program.

Participation in the ERASMUS+ program offers involved students challenging opportunities to study for one or two semesters in the European Universities that are members of the ERASMUS+ network. Following their success in the exam courses, students can be accredited with the relevant ECTS. The ERASMUS+ program offers financial support (partial coverage), depending on the country of mobility. Students, from both, undergraduate and postgraduate, levels are entitled to participate in the EARSMUS+ program.

CIVIS

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is a member of the European CIVIS network program (a subset of the ERASMUS+ program). NKUA students can, thus, study in European Universities that participate as CIVIS members. Apart from NKUA, nine more member Universities currently participate in CIVIS. These are Aix Marseille Université, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Universitatea din București, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Sapienza Università di Roma, Stockholms Universitet, Eberhard–Karls–Universität Tübingen, University of Glasgow and, a new member, Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg.

As in ERASMUS+, interested students in participating in the CIVIS program are informed and guided by the appointed faculty member on the necessary eligibility conditions, documentation, and relevant actions forward. Eligible students can study in one of the CIVIS University members for one or two semesters. Following their success in the exam courses, students can be accredited with the relevant ECTS.

The Department of Ports Managements and Shipping, NKUA offers both (ERASMUS+ and CIVIS) international student groups the capacity to attend all the Curriculum courses in English, in contact with the respective course instructor. Each course is supported by relevant course, study, and exam preparation material, tailor-made towards the efficient adaptation of international students.
