Katerina Karditsa

Katerina Karditsa is Associate Professor in the Department of Port Management & Shipping in NKUA. She is Dr. of Oceanography (NKUA), holding a BSc Degree in Geology (University of Patras) and MSc in Oceanography (NKUA). Since 2010, she has worked as a Collaborating Researcher in the Laboratory of Physical Geography in the Department of Geology Geoenvironment (NKUA) whilst she has also collaborated with the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry (NKUA), the Laboratory of Coastal Research (IACM-FORTH), the Department of Marine Sciences and the Institute of Oceanography (HCMR). She has taught Applied Environmental Oceanography and Coastal and Marine Geomorphology & Coastal Zone Management.

Her research interests focus on the environmental oceanography, coastal zone management, human intervention footprint in coastal ecosystem and the harmonization of human uses with the environmental legal framework.

She participates in various publications in scientific journals and international and Greek conferences, while she is co-author in scientific book.
