Dr. Theodore Syriopoulos is Professor of Shipping Finance, at the Port Management & Shipping Dpt., School of Economics & Political Sciences, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He also holds adjunct visiting posts in international and domestic Schools, including Audencia Business School, Nantes, France; Newcastle University, UK; Shanghai Maritime University, China; Athens University of Economics and Business; University of Piraeus; International Hellenic University; University of Western Attica; and, Hellenic Open University, Greece, inter alia. For the last 20 years, Prof. Syriopoulos has served as Professor of Finance, Shipping, Trade and Transport Dpt., School of Business Studies, University of the Aegean. Prior to joining the academia and for nearly two decades, Prof. Syriopoulos has held top executive management posts in banking, investment, asset management, corporate finance, and consulting business.
